The Boundaries of Affectivity (and a Coda on Extended Consciousness)

In this contribution I will offer a rough guide through “situated affectivity”, small galaxy of theories, ideas, intuitions which are recently growing at the boundaries between philosophy emotion, mind, cognitive science. last years, we witnessing real “affective turn” in domain analytic mind and science, situated affectivity is an excellent example what going on field. first part, present main versions affectivity, distinguishing ideas or scaffolded emotions (Griffiths, Scarantino 2009; Colombetti, Krueger 2015) properly extended (Carter et al. 2016; Roberts 2015), showing their link to corresponding idea mind: scaffolded, otherwise. second further explore connection argue that, even if could be principle evaluated independently from any particular theory about dealing with is, beside its independent interest, also good way tackle unsettled problem literature namely consciousness.
